About the role

We are now looking for a nursing assistant/care assistant for night shifts for our inpatient ward within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Sundsvall. Here, children and young people up to 18 years old with severe or acute psychiatric conditions who need psychiatric inpatient care are treated. Patients may be treated under the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) or the Care of Persons with Certain Mental Illness Act (LPT). They are treated together with their guardians. Nurses, nurses and doctors work on the ward. A social worker, psychologist, educators, dietitian and physiotherapist are part of the team caring for the patient.

Responsibilities
  • Psychiatric nursing care, monitoring health status, assessing care needs and conducting support conversations.
  • Documentation of nursing observations.
  • Responsibility for supervision and being available for patients and guardians.
QualificationsWe are looking for you who
  • Are trained as a nursing assistant or have other relevant education suitable for psychiatric nursing care. You who are studying medicine or nursing are also welcome to apply.
  • Have a B driving license
  • Have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
It is an advantage if you
  • Have work experience within psychiatry
  • Have further education within psychiatry
  • Have additional language skills
