Job Responsibilities

As an employee, your main task is to provide support, motivation, and care to our users. We work in a health-promoting manner with the aim of strengthening the individual's own abilities and ensuring that everyone who receives support from us feels secure in staying in their home.

Involvement, development, and community are key words for us, where continuous improvements provide the prerequisites for creating good quality. We work with welfare technology with the aim of increasing security, involvement, and independence for our users.

The job responsibilities include personal care, support with household chores in the user's home, handling medication and wound dressing, documentation, contact person duties, as well as social and physical activities together with our users. We work in a team-based manner, which means that many different professional groups have the common goal of creating a good quality of life for our users.

You will currently be placed at Home Care Renen in central Örnsköldsvik. We also collaborate with nearby areas.

We offer you meaningful work where you have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge in palliative care, dementia, daily rehabilitation approaches, and transfer techniques.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant or have other education or experience that the employer considers sufficient. We would like you to have further education for the elderly and/or dementia or have an educational focus on psychiatry. Experience working in care and social services is meritorious.

It is important that you enjoy and thrive working with people and that you are flexible and open to new ideas and ways of working.

The job requires sufficient knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing to, among other things, communicate with users, perform care documentation, and receive medication delegation.

A valid driver's license, category B, and access to a personal car are required.

Before any employment, an extract from the criminal record register for work with the elderly and adults with disabilities must be presented to the employer.

In connection with the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Approved documents are passport, international ID card, driver's license + personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency or another ID document that strengthens citizenship. For some positions, extracts from the police's suspicion and criminal record register are required. We appreciate language skills in Finnish and/or one of the Sami varieties as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is included in both Finnish and Sami administrative areas.

In our municipality, a number of positions are placed in security class, so security clearance may take place. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
