About the Role

The Sterile Technology Units within Region Västernorrland are responsible for the healthcare sector's sterile activities. The main task is to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, as well as the requirements of healthcare providers and other clients, and the wishes of users. This involves producing sterile medical technology products combined with experience and knowledge, while maintaining high quality in services or procedures. Methods used must be approved, controlled, and based on science and proven experience. We offer stimulating work in a quality-certified operation with clear routines and varied tasks.

We are now looking for a new colleague to join our team in Örnsköldsvik! The position is a full-time temporary assignment, with an start date of 2026-08-01 and an end date of 2027-12-31.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, inspection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and associated processes
• Functional work involving administrative tasks

The sterile technology role also includes various functional assignments, which entails additional responsibilities in specific areas. Since a large part of the training involves learning on the job, the practical introduction is usually already completed, but will be adapted to each individual. Weekend shifts are part of the role.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Is educated as a Surgical Technologist / Sterile Technology Technician
• Is fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Has a valid Category B driver's license

• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
