About the Department

The Medical Clinic in Örnsköldsvik is a clinic with approximately 30 permanent physicians. The clinic operates within several subspecialties such as cardiology, hematology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, neurology, rheumatology, and geriatrics. The clinic consists of 3 inpatient wards with currently 46 beds, and we staff emergency lines at the medical emergency department. The hospital and clinic are characterized by short decision-making paths, high degree of personal responsibility, but also good collegial support. We are now looking for two resident doctors (underläkare) to join us.

The main duties as a resident doctor involve work on inpatient wards or at our day-care unit. If you are a licensed resident doctor or receive confirmation of your internship (AT) during the employment period, training can take place at the emergency department, in which case work may also occur during on-call hours. The positions can be filled by both licensed and non-licensed resident doctors and refer to full-time fixed-term employment between 2 to 6 months. Start date in autumn 2026 or according to agreement with the manager.

Responsibilities

Serving as a resident doctor on inpatient wards, the day-care unit, and in some cases at the emergency department.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Has completed at least semester 10 of medical school or is a licensed physician
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

• Have experience working as a resident doctor
• Have work experience from healthcare
