About the role

The Umeå factory is one of the largest in the Volvo Group. With our approximately 1,800 employees, we are one of Northern Sweden's largest industries. Here, cabs for Volvo Trucks are produced – from steel coils to painted cabs – in one of the world's most modern production environments.

We have recently consolidated our logistics under one umbrella to strengthen our flows from an end-to-end perspective. We are now looking for a Production Manager who wants to help shape our logistics.

If you are a leader driven by development, enjoy change, and want to make a real difference – we look forward to meeting you.

As a Production Manager within Logistics, you work in a central role close to production. You lead and develop the business with a focus on efficient, safe, and stable flows.

You are a key part of ensuring the whole works and actively contribute to both operational delivery and long-term development. The role involves close collaboration with production, engineering, and other functions.

As we shape the organization and prepare for the future, the structure will be defined accordingly. You will lead a team of approximately 42 employees and be part of a leadership team of 6 colleagues.

Your mission

  • Lead efficient and robust flows from an end-to-end perspective.
  • Drive transformation work related to organization and product generations.
  • Actively strengthen culture, working environment, and safety issues.
  • Coach and develop employees towards common goals.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements according to LEAN principles.

Who are you?

To succeed in this role, you are a secure and present leader who thrives in an environment where the business is constantly developing.

You have the ability to combine strategic thinking with operational drive, and you create engagement through clarity, trust, and energy.

We believe that you:

  • Have a university education in logistics or equivalent experience.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in a managerial role.
  • Have experience from logistics, production, or similar operations.
  • Communicate fluently in Swedish and English.
  • Have good computer and system skills.

As a person, you are

  • Structured and get things done.
  • Enjoy change and see opportunities where others see challenges.
  • Dare to say what you think and stand up for direction and decisions.
  • Are a team player who inspires and develops others.
  • Have a genuine interest in people, culture, and safety.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Why Volvo Umeå?

Here you have the opportunity to develop both as a leader and a person, in a workplace where we have high aspirations and also have fun along the way.
