We at Attendo are now looking for a nursing assistant for home care services in Karlstad. Here, dedicated and skilled employees work every day of the week. For us, the customer is important and is treated with respect and warmth. Employees work with high quality and have support from routines and guidelines in their work. Basic hygiene is especially important and all new employees receive training in this to feel secure about how to handle protective equipment.

The operations are based in Karlstad and cover the entire municipality, meeting customers between 07:00–22:00, every day of the week.

About the role

As a nursing assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and stimulating environment for our customers. You are responsible for providing good care and support to our customers. Creating a positive and social atmosphere during meals is a large part of your role, as well as being able to contribute with various activities that brighten up the everyday life for our elderly.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

• Personal care according to the company's routines, starting from the customer's individual needs and wishes.
• Assist with preparing, cooking, and serving meals, cleaning, laundry, etc., as needed.
• Perform documentation and work based on decided interventions.
• Collaborate with external and internal contacts such as guardians, relatives, residents, nurses, and rehabilitation staff.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language (spoken and written).
• Good computer skills/competence.
• Driver's license category B.
• Cycling experience.
• Experience from care work in elderly care.

Merits:

• Experience with delegation.
• Nursing assistant education of at least 1350 credits.
• Professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate from current/former employer regarding permanent employment as a nursing assistant.
