Registered Nurse Wanted at Geriatric Centre, Region Västerbotten

The Geriatric Centre is a specialist clinic for patients requiring both acute and planned geriatric care and rehabilitation. Interprofessional teams conduct comprehensive assessments of elderly patients' medical, physical, mental, and social functional capacity during illness. Diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation are provided in both inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on the patient's individual needs.

General Geriatrics, Ward 1, has 20 care beds focusing on subacute general geriatric care and rehabilitation, as well as a so-called "fast track" for taking over patients from the Medical Acute Care Unit (MAVA) and the Infectious Diseases Clinic.

We are very proud to operate a Student Teaching Ward (SUA), where nursing and assistant nurse students care for patients independently under supervision.

We are now looking for a new colleague for a permanent position at Region Västerbotten – Are you the one we are looking for?

You will work according to the 3-3 shift model, with schedules covering days, evenings, and weekends. Start date by agreement.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel safe.

The role includes nursing responsibility and care work together with nursing assistants, medical interventions based on the patient's condition and prescriptions, as well as contact with other professions in the care team, other healthcare providers, and the patient's next of kin.

Qualifications

• You are a registered nurse, preferably with specialist training in elderly care.
• Strong collaboration skills, where you listen and communicate effectively with both patients and colleagues.
• Comfortable handling administrative tasks.
• Advantageous: Experience in teamwork and geriatric nursing.

• Employment type: Permanent position.
• Duration: Permanent, start date: by agreement.
• Working hours: Shift schedule according to the 3-3 model (day, evening, weekend).
