The Workplace

Nordmaling Municipality is continuously seeking extra staff within care and assistance who can work for short-term needs, e.g., during sick leave and vacations. Here there are opportunities to work as an assistant nurse, care assistant, housing supervisor, and work supervisor.

The current operations are:

• The home care service in; Nordmaling, Gräsmyr, Rundvik and Nyåker as well as the night patrol
• The municipality's nursing home Strandbacken in central Nordmaling
• LSS operations - operations for people with functional variations. The LSS operations consist of day activities, group homes, stairwell housing and short-term housing

Working hours vary and are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekend or alternatively at night.

Job Responsibilities

The work as an assistant nurse/care assistant involves providing good care and assistance to our elderly and supporting them in their daily lives. You help our elderly with various daily tasks, activities, personal hygiene, and distribute medication to those who need it. Delegated tasks from the municipality's HSL unit are included, as well as ongoing documentation (such as measures, health status, and social status) in our current operation system.

The work as a housing supervisor/work supervisor within LSS involves being support and help to the target group so that they can live an independent life and have a meaningful everyday life.

Your Profile

You who apply must be 18 years old, and we would like you to have work experience and/or education within care and assistance.

You should be interested in working with people and are secure, stable, and have good empathetic skills. We also value that you have good cooperation skills and are flexible. Personal qualities are highly valued.

To be able to communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and read care documentation, and obtain medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Regarding the home care service, you must have a class B driver's license, and we would like you to have access to your own car.

The Employment

Temporary position or fixed-term employment. Hourly wage. Start date by agreement.

Before employment for work in the home of elderly people or adults with disabilities, an extract from the criminal record register must be presented in accordance with current legislation. The extract must be presented to the employer before the employment begins to ensure safety and security for our users.
