RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Student Coordinator at Sjöängsskolan, you work to strengthen the school's student social work with a focus on promoting attendance for all our students.

In this role, you will guide, support, and handle conflicts. You will lead conversations with guardians, teachers, and students. You work closely with social services, which may involve structured activities with students, guardians, and may also include home visits. You move among the students and create safety through good relationships. You collaborate with the school's other staff so that students feel good at school and develop as far as possible towards the curriculum's goals, both value-based goals and knowledge goals.

You contribute to creating the best conditions for our students' learning and for them to succeed in school and be present in class.

You drive the work with the school's core values, measures against harassment, and antisocial behavior. This is part of strengthening the school's work with safety and study environment. You create conditions for participation among students and staff in the work. Your assignment, which is needs-adapted, will be shaped together with the principal.

QUALIFICATIONS

You should have an academic degree as a teacher, social worker, behavioral scientist, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

You have experience working in a school. If you have experience working with motivational interviewing, solution-focused work, and leading group activities, it is meritorious.

You are an important adult for our students, and a calm and secure person with an understanding that all students have different conditions and absorb knowledge in different ways. You also understand the assignment and the importance of building relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You show great commitment in your role and want to work with us so that our youth have a safe school experience.

Personal suitability is given great weight.

The position requires a Category B driver's license, where access to a personal car is desirable.

The position will be filled if required decisions are made.
