About the role
You will be part of our finance team, which consists of four people: Finance Manager, Finance Assistant, Office Administrator, and Accountant. The role is broad and varied, combining qualified accounting work with a large element of service and operational support.
Together with the rest of the team, you will work with, among other things:
A large and important part of the job is also service. The finance department acts as first-line support at the switchboard; we handle invoice inquiries, orders, and credit applications, as well as maintaining ongoing dialogue with customers and suppliers. Internally, we have extensive contact with our sales team as we assist with order placement, provide support, and train in systems and administrative routines. You will collaborate closely with the warehouse and product manager to resolve order and invoice issues. You will have many contact points and work cross-functionally within the organization.
About you
You have a post-secondary education in economics or several years of experience in qualified accounting work. It is important that you can work independently within ongoing accounting and monthly closing.
You have excellent knowledge of Excel and the rest of the Office package. You have good system familiarity and feel confident working in financial systems. You speak and write fluent Swedish and English, and we would appreciate it if you are familiar with economic terminology, as some communication takes place with our parent company in England.
Experience with payroll management, system development/implementation, or group accounting is meritorious but not a requirement.
As a person, you are driven and enjoy development. You are unpretentious, flexible, and have a genuine service mindset. You thrive in a small team where everyone is important to the whole and where one sometimes needs to switch between qualified closing work and answering the phone. Naturally, you are also meticulous and structured.
Terms of employment
The position is a permanent full-time employment with an initial probationary period. Your base of work is our office in Uppsala. Remote work is possible on an occasional basis but not on a regular basis.
Working hours are 08:00–17:00 Mon–Thu and 08:00–16:00 Fri with the possibility of one hour of flex time.
