Short-term supervision is an intervention under the LSS (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) designed for young people over the age of 12 who no longer have access to school after-school care but need supervision when their guardians are working or studying. The intervention can be provided before or after school hours, as well as during school holidays. Through individually adapted support, we create a safe environment and a meaningful leisure time together. We are now looking for more staff members for our short-term supervision activities!
Carlslund Short-term Supervision is located within Carlslund School on the Carlslund area, near Tomtebo and Carlshöjd. We are a large operation with three departments for ages 13–16.
Your Responsibilities
As a staff member in the short-term supervision activity, you work to support and assist young people based on their individual needs. The tasks vary and may include both social and physical support, depending on each young person's situation. You prepare for the young people's arrival, plan and conduct meaningful activities, and contribute to creating a safe and stimulating environment.
The role also includes daily administrative tasks. The work is physically demanding as you are very active; some transfers and lifting may occur, although heavy lifting is not a central part of the role. You must also be prepared to handle challenging behaviors and situations where threats and violence may occur.
Joint planning takes place between the short-term supervision activity and other activities within Support and Care.
About You
We are looking for someone who is calm, secure, and engaged, with a professional approach and good collaboration skills. You are responsive and meet young people based on their individual needs, while contributing to a safe and respectful environment.
You are stress-resistant and handle challenging situations calmly, even in cases of challenging behavior. Furthermore, you are flexible and solution-focused, with the ability to adapt and create a meaningful daily life for the young people. Personal suitability is highly valued.
