We are currently looking for personal assistants who wish to work on an as-needed basis for a woman in Umeå. For the right person, there is an opportunity to transition to a longer-term temporary position of approximately 69% at a later stage.

About the Position

As a personal assistant, you work closely with the client and contribute to creating safety, independence, and quality of life in everyday life. You become part of a small work group where collaboration, responsibility, and a professional attitude are important parts of the work.

The work consists of day and evening shifts on weekdays and weekends. The position mainly consists of evening shifts. It also includes on-call duties during certain times in the afternoons and nights.

Due to the on-call requirements, it is an advantage if you have access to your own car or live nearby.

About the Client

The client is a woman in her 80s who lives with MS and uses a wheelchair. She needs support in everyday life with personal care, hygiene, household chores, and leg care, among other things.

She tires easily and is sensitive to loud noises, which makes it important that you have a calm and attentive approach to work. At the same time, she is active and appreciates going out for various errands and activities, where you as an assistant follow along and provide the necessary support.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for you who are:

• Calm, positive, and patient
• Orderly and responsible
• Confident in taking own initiatives in consultation with the client
• Comfortable with cooking, including handling pork and other meat products

You must be able to communicate well in Swedish.

Experience in healthcare or experience working with people who have MS is meritorious but not a requirement. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Employment Type and Scope

The employment starts as an hourly position on an as-needed basis, with good opportunities for work from the start as the need for substitutes is large. From autumn onwards, there is an opportunity to transition to a longer-term temporary position of approximately 69%, with a planned duration of at least one year.
