Cook Needed for Preschool and Care Home in Ulricehamn

Meal Services is a department within the Service Sector in Ulricehamn Municipality. The mission is to serve meals to all preschool and school children, as well as to individuals assessed for support in special housing, group homes, or their own homes. Today, there are 34 kitchens included in the food service operations.

We are now looking for a cook to work in two kitchens: at Pastellens Preschool in Blidsberg and Parkgårdens Care and Nursing Home in Dalum.

Job Responsibilities

The position includes all tasks typically found in a large-scale kitchen, including ordering, cooking, serving, dishwashing, and self-control/quality assurance. The position at Pastellens Preschool is a combined role as Cook/Janitor. The work schedule is Monday–Friday, but weekend duties may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a cook's education or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience from large-scale kitchens or restaurant operations is highly meritorious. You have a genuine interest in food and cooking and work with engagement, responsibility, and drive.

As a person, you are structured, flexible, and open to development and change. You take responsibility for your tasks, have the ability to remain calm even during periods of high tempo, and can adapt to the needs of the operations. You work independently while having good collaboration skills and a professional attitude.

In Ulricehamn Municipality, multilingualism is seen as a strength, but it is important that you master Swedish in both speech and writing. Good computer skills are also important. To work with us, a valid extract from the police criminal record is required, which you can order from the police website.

Employment Terms

• Type of Employment: Permanent position.

• Start Date: 2026-08-10 or according to agreement.
