We are looking for a sous chef for a hotel on the west coast for the summer season.

In the role of sous chef, you will act as the head chef's right hand, taking both operational and creative responsibility, and stepping into the head chef's role when needed. You lead the daily work in the kitchen and ensure high quality, good structure, and a pleasant working environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and distributing daily tasks in the kitchen
  • Ensuring high standards in food, presentation, and hygiene
  • Participating in menu development with a focus on local produce, sustainability, and seasonal variations
  • Managing raw materials and contributing to waste reduction
  • Working with cost control and efficient resource utilization
  • Supporting and developing the kitchen team in their daily work

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience as a sous chef or in a leadership role in a kitchen
  • Is structured, responsible, and solution-oriented
  • Has a genuine interest in cooking, quality, and sustainability
  • Is a confident leader who motivates and engages their team
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment and can handle a fast pace
