Skara Sommarland is an amusement park and Scandinavia's largest (outdoor) water park. Here, our guests can ride Big Drop – Europe's steepest water slide, Cobra, Tranan – the world's only roller coaster of its kind, and much more! We offer a wide range of food, coffee, and snacks, as well as several games and shops. Located in the heart of Skaraborg, we create magical memories for our guests every year.

At Skara Sommarland, we have around 10 park food units and kiosks serving everything from hamburgers and fish 'n' chips to ice cream and cotton candy. We are now looking for a Shift Manager for our kiosks who wants to lead the team and contribute to fantastic food and snack experiences for our guests for the 2026 season.

The Role of Shift Manager

As a Shift Manager, you are in the heart of the action. You lead by example and show the way in daily operations. You manage the daily operations of one or more units and work closely with your team to ensure that every day runs smoothly, efficiently, and with the guest experience in focus. Furthermore, you have personnel responsibility for your team, including staffing, leading and coaching your employees, onboarding new colleagues, and creating a cohesive team that delivers top-tier service. You become a role model, a culture carrier, and a key force in Parks and Resorts' vision: to deliver world-class holistic experiences – every time.

You will primarily:

• Lead the daily operations of your unit(s).
• Set goals and focus for the day based on the park's overall direction.
• Optimize staffing, flows, and task distribution to create efficient and high-quality operations.
• Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and support to employees, and onboard new team members.
• Manage staffing and handle scheduling matters such as vacation requests, breaks, and sick leave notifications.
• Drive development of your unit(s).
• Monitor sales and key performance indicators (KPIs) and take action to strengthen profitability.
• Ensure the unit is well-stocked, correctly signed, clean, and organized for a first-class guest experience.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who have completed upper secondary education; a post-secondary education in leadership, service management, or equivalent is meritorious. You should have experience working with guest interactions and delivering high service quality in a fast-changing environment. Previous team leader or management experience, preferably from retail or a café, is meritorious. Experience in workforce planning and scheduling is also a plus.

As a person, you are result-oriented, flexible, and an present leader who coaches, engages, and creates good collaborations. You are passionate about delivering strong guest experiences and are a natural carrier of the company's culture and values.

You have a good understanding of economics, work confidently with KPIs and digital tools, and have the ability to improve operational processes. With your strong organizational skills, you create structure and clarity.

Employment

The position is a seasonal employment, and we are looking for you who can work most of our summer season in 2026. The position starts immediately and runs until the end of August. Working hours vary depending on low or high season and are adapted to the business's opening hours, with schedules varying between daytime, evening, and weekend work.

For the role of Shift Manager, you must be able to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. Salary is according to the Union collective agreement.
