The Workplace

At our office, you step into an environment where job satisfaction and camaraderie go hand in hand with genuine influence. You will have an independent role where your ideas shape the municipality's traffic environment, while always having a supportive operations organization close by when you need it.

We are in an exciting phase of development where you will have the opportunity to create new routines, improve working methods, and contribute to long-term solutions that make a difference in people's daily lives.

Here we value flexibility, humor, and engagement – and we give you good opportunities to grow and develop. In short: a workplace where you thrive, influence, and help build the future.

Job Responsibilities

As a Traffic Case Officer with us, you will among other things:

  • Work with the operation and maintenance of lighting.
  • Administer local traffic regulations and respond to inquiries.
  • Manage cases in case management systems and handle incoming citizen feedback.
  • Participate in projects related to streets, pedestrian and cycle paths, and traffic environments – both in new production and improvement of existing areas.
  • Act as an expert in traffic matters and contribute to a safe and well-functioning traffic environment.
  • Work with public authority tasks, such as parking permits for people with disabilities, granting rights to public land, and moving vehicles.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Relevant university education or vocational higher education (YH), for example within traffic, urban planning, or a related field.
  • Experience with traffic and street issues, preferably from municipal operations or the consulting industry.
  • A particular interest in traffic safety and sustainable societal development.
  • Good insight into relevant traffic legislation, such as the Planning and Building Act (PBL), the Road Sign Ordinance, and the Traffic Ordinance.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Category B driver's license.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Several years of experience in public authority tasks.
  • Experience working with the operation and maintenance of street lighting.
  • Good knowledge of English, both orally and in writing.
  • Good local knowledge.

Who You Are

We are looking for you who have a holistic view and good judgment, with the ability to analyze complex issues and find solutions in a structured way. You are self-reliant, clear in your communication, and confident in working independently within given frameworks.

You have good analytical skills and are accustomed to independently prioritizing, making decisions, and driving your work forward. You communicate clearly and adapt your dialogue to the situation and target group – whether it concerns colleagues, external actors, or the general public.

You see how traffic and street planning issues affect the municipality's development and can connect your work to overarching goals. You are proactive and have an easy time creating good collaborations, while building trust in your contacts both internally and externally.

The role is versatile and requires flexibility, engagement, and the ability to familiarize yourself with new issues. Personal suitability is highly valued.
