Description

The Social Services Department is a workplace with engaged managers and employees, characterized by good atmosphere and cohesion. We value that our employees thrive. The Unit for Social Support and Measures is now looking for a case worker, as the permanent employee has found a job in their home municipality.

The unit is organized under the Social Services Department, which is the municipality's largest department. The unit is responsible for investigating, assessing, deciding on, and following up on measures for the elderly, as well as for children, young people, and adults with physical or mental disabilities. The unit is led by an operational manager, and you will receive regular supervision and support together with the team.

The division for social support and measures works to ensure legal security and participation. The division consists of a team of 10 employees together with the Social Services Department's fee administrators.

Job Description

Your task as a case worker will be to investigate, assess, and make decisions on measures, as well as follow up and review approved measures based on current legislation. The work involves close dialogue with the persons seeking measures as well as their relatives. In addition, you will collaborate with other actors both within the department and with external actors such as inpatient care, outpatient care, schools, and other authorities.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a social work degree or other higher education that the employer considers equivalent. Special emphasis is placed on personal qualities, and it is important that you are analytical, solution-focused, and have a positive approach. The position requires good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, as well as the ability to establish good contacts with both customers and collaboration partners.

Working as a case worker in social support and measures is a varied and developing job that offers great opportunities for flexibility. It is important that you are independent and prepared for a varied and challenging job that requires the ability to reprioritize based on incoming tasks. You are self-starting and have the ability to adapt to new work environments. You need to have an interest in administration, documentation, and good digital competence.
