Job Description

AFRY is seeking engaged environmental consultants who want to help shape a sustainable future and contribute to the green transition. We are currently looking for our new colleague within one of the areas: natural environment, contaminated sites, EIA/permits, cultural heritage, or water activities, with placement at one of our offices in Norrköping or Linköping. You will become part of a larger section of environmental consultants active also in Västerås and Örebro, where collaboration and team spirit are central.

AFRY's business area Environment & Sustainability is present throughout the country, with offices from Malmö in the south to Kiruna in the north. Through close collaboration between different technical areas, we form a strong whole together. We work broadly within the service area of environment and sustainability. On behalf of our customers, we work with notification and permit cases, environmental impact assessments and descriptions, cultural heritage analyses and investigations within cultural environment, environmental and nature investigations, water and air investigations, contaminated sites, environmental technical soil investigations, environmental controls, risk assessments and action investigations, climate calculations, and sustainability assessments. We also have several different technical forums where we develop each other and share knowledge and experience.

As an environmental consultant, your tasks and roles in assignments vary, and you will participate in projects at both local and national levels. You will have a job that involves great variation. You will be part of a group of environmental consultants who, with their different specialist areas, cover a large part of the need for environmental competence required by our assignments. We work on assignments throughout the country and have a well-developed collaboration with other parts within AFRY. We also help each other and exchange knowledge and experiences through our technical networks.

In the role, you are given significant personal responsibility and you will participate in the entire process – from planning to execution. You always work in a team with your colleagues both locally and nationally.

Qualifications

Our requirements for candidate selection are that you have:

• An academic, scientific, or technical education with a degree in the environmental field
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Basic knowledge of Swedish environmental legislation
• Category B driver's license

It is meritorious and candidate selection will be prioritized if you have:

• Previous work experience within the environmental field
• Previous experience as a consultant
• Experience working as a project manager or assignment leader
• Experience with supervision or examination according to the Environmental Code
• Own customer contacts or ability to provide references from previous work
