We are looking for an EHS Engineer who wants to help develop and strengthen our work in the environmental field. In this role, you will be responsible for issues related to environmental permits, authority contacts, reporting, and compliance with environmental requirements. The area of responsibility covers our operations in Norrköping, Lidköping, and Kimstad, with varying permit requirements and complexity, offering you a broad and developmental role with great opportunities to make a difference.

What you will do

As an EHS Engineer, you will play a central role in our work with permit issues and reporting. You will work closely with the operations and serve as a support to managers and employees regarding environmental legislation, permits, self-control, and continuous improvements. You will be a key part of ensuring that operations meet authority requirements while driving development towards higher environmental performance at our facilities.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Responsible for and developing our environmental management work.
• Ensuring support for the operations to comply with environmental legislation, conditions, and authority requirements.
• Coordinating and developing self-control programs.
• Preparing and following up on environmental reports, permit conditions, and authority contacts.
• Participating in and driving environmental investigations and environmental risk assessments.
• Supporting operations in matters concerning air, soil, and water.
• Participating in internal and external audits.
• Participating in investment and development projects with environmental expertise.
• Conducting training and information initiatives within the environmental field.
• Contributing to Biorefineries' sustainability and climate goals with competence and decision support.

What you need to succeed and thrive

You have:

• A university degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or equivalent competence.
• Experience in environmental work within industry, energy, process industry, or similar operations.
• Good knowledge of the Environmental Code and related legislation.
• Experience with permit issues, self-control, and environmental reporting.
• Ability to work both strategically and operationally.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
