Your Role

We are now looking for an Environmental Coordinator to join the team within Ground Support Equipment. Ground Support Equipment is responsible for the development and delivery of the equipment required to maintain and handle our advanced aircraft systems, Gripen and GlobalEye, on the ground. You will become a central part of the work ensuring that our products meet current environmental requirements. You will have a broad network and work closely with engineers, purchasers, business system administrators, and our suppliers.

Examples of tasks:

• Work with environmental legislation, customer requirements, and legal monitoring
• Review and analysis of material declarations
• Training and advisory, both internally and towards our suppliers
• Participate in the development of our working methods within the environmental area.

You will be based at one of our locations: Östersund, Arboga, or Linköping. Travel between locations is part of the role.

Your Profile

We believe you are self-motivated, solution-oriented, and enjoy taking initiative to drive work forward. You thrive switching between independent work and collaboration with many different contacts. You also have good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.

We would like you to have:

• A university degree or other relevant background in the environmental field
• Knowledge of environmental legislation, such as REACH and RoHS
• Good computer skills and proficiency in the Office package

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience with environmental requirements in areas such as aviation, design, production, or purchasing
• Chemical knowledge or the ability to interpret material declarations

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
