We are looking for a support educator (stödpedagog) for supported living, who will participate in regular scheduled work. In this role, you work in a supportive and motivating manner together with the citizen to help them manage daily life at home as independently as possible. Together, you create structure and find strategies for managing household tasks. You also work to establish and maintain contacts with relatives, employers, healthcare, and authorities.

You are responsible, in close collaboration with your manager, for the development of pedagogical work at the workplace. This includes producing pedagogical material and supporting the work group towards a developmental working method. You conduct internal controls of implementation plans and mentor colleagues in writing and updating these. You continuously update yourself on pedagogical and evidence-based knowledge and implement and mentor the work group on this. You work to ensure that various types of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) are implemented in individual work with the citizen, for example by being coaching during workplace meetings.

Who are you?

You have a degree in support education or social pedagogy. You have good knowledge of intellectual and neuropsychiatric disabilities as well as psychiatric conditions. You also have good knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as well as the most common pedagogical and conversation-based methods used in work within LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and social psychiatry (CM, ESL, TEACCH, MI). In addition, you are well-versed in legislation in the area, have good skills in Swedish (reading, speaking, and writing), and are computer literate. You have a category B driver's license to travel around the municipality.

In the role of support educator, you show respect for the individual with a good attitude and understanding of other people's needs and feelings. Since you work closely with people in need of our services, it is important that you are calm and secure. You take responsibility for your tasks, are flexible and proactive, and have a good ability to build good relationships and collaborate with others.

It is meritorious if you have a few years of experience in the field, knowledge within psychiatry, addiction/co-morbidity, and psychosocial difficulties.
