Furuboda Assistans is a private personal assistance provider in southern Sweden with roots in the non-profit Furuboda Association. The company was founded in 2005 and is a growing business. Fun job as a personal assistant to an active young woman

Do you get happy about making a difference for another person? Do you thrive when no day is the same as the last? Then perhaps the job as a personal assistant is for you. I am 21 years old and live in Åkarp, located between Malmö and Lund. I have a severe brain injury that results in several functional limitations. My body is very spastic, so I need help with all basic daily needs, such as dressing, hygiene, eating/drinking, and mobility. Despite my active body and significant limitations, I am full of energy and feel best with lots of activities.

I am looking for someone who can work approximately 75-80% with the possibility to increase hours. The majority of working hours for this position are during daytime on weekdays, but work at other times and on weekends may occur.

To work together with me, you must:

• be around 25 years old
• have a driver's license
• be physically strong and have lots of energy
• have Swedish as a native language or equivalent skills, as you will be my voice and interpreter
• be confident in yourself and have great patience

When you work with me:

• your workplace is wherever I am
• you should be able to work independently but also as part of a team with my other assistants
• you will join in on fun activities such as horse riding, swimming, concerts, theater, and more
• you become part of my family and our community

It is an extra advantage if you are familiar with and have experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and communication aids such as widget-go via touch screen and app.
