Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Bup) Specialist Psychiatry in the Malmö/Trelleborg area has approximately 140 employees and serves children and adolescents under 18 years of age and their families. We cover the entire city of Malmö as well as the municipalities of Trelleborg, Vellinge, and Svedala. Within our area, there are three general psychiatric clinics, an infant psychiatry clinic, a neuropsychiatric clinic, an eating disorders clinic, as well as access to inpatient care via an emergency ward and two treatment wards.
The clinic serves children between 6–18 years old with eating disorder difficulties, and their families/networks. The clinic also has intermediate care that works with eating disorder patients in a day-care format. The clinic has a total of 10 employees consisting of nurses, social workers, family therapists, care assistants, physiotherapists, doctors, medical secretaries, and unit managers.

As a social worker (counselor), you will work both independently and with other employees at the unit. The work is both challenging and stimulating. Responsibilities include assessment, investigation, psychoeducation, and individually adapted treatments for children, adolescents, and their families. You have great freedom to plan and organize your work, as well as influence and contribute to our development work. Part of the job involves collaborating around the patient both within Bup and with other actors such as schools, social services, and habilitation services. To provide good care, we work according to standardized care programs.

Working hours are during the day, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility in working hours.
We welcome you if you have a recognized degree in social work and experience in child psychiatric work. You have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is meritorious for the position to have basic psychotherapy training level 1, experience of eating disorder treatment, and/or if you are a licensed health and social care counselor.
As a person, you are stable, proactive, and enjoy working both individually and in teams. You have good communication and collaboration skills and are good at building relationships. In addition, you have the ability to gain a holistic perspective on our patients, as there can be mixed issues both with the patient and in the surrounding environment. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
Interviews are planned to be held on July 28th.
