We are looking for a music teacher for Grebo and Björsäter School!

Your responsibilities

As a music teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating music education for students in grades 1-6. You will work closely with colleagues and students to create an stimulating and inclusive learning environment. You contribute to students developing their knowledge and skills in music. The assignment includes teaching students to actively listen to different types of music, distinguish between instruments and instrument groups, and develop musical skills through collaboration with others. As a music teacher, you also train students in theoretical knowledge that is applied in practical playing and reflection. An important part of the work as a music teacher is to teach students to reason about the function and significance of music in different historical and cultural contexts. The position includes collaboration with responsible class teachers, student health teams, and guardians to support each student to reach as far as possible based on their prerequisites. Active participation in other meetings for collegial collaboration and recess supervision is also included in the position.

You who apply

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades 1-6. We would appreciate it if you have previous experience working with education in primary school.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have the ability to create good relationships with other people by being attentive, showing empathy, and respect. You should be able to motivate others and empower them by giving advice, support, and opportunities for development. We see that you adapt easily to changed circumstances. You also have a good understanding of individuals' different prerequisites and how humans acquire knowledge.

About the employment

The position is a fixed-term assignment (vacancy) for the school year 2026/2027 with a scope of 60%, as well as the possibility of a permanent employment. Start date: August 10, 2026, until June 10, 2027.
