The Employment Unit (AME) at Ljusdal Municipality offers a place for individuals who, for various reasons, have a longer path to employment on the regular labor market. Here, individuals can enhance their skills by participating in work activities and/or receiving a time-limited, tailored employment. The long-term goal is to help individuals secure employment on the regular labor market, start studying, or achieve self-sufficiency.

Currently, AME consists of approximately 25 permanent staff members working in various roles towards the same goal. We are a dedicated group that aims to meet and develop individuals while contributing to sustainable societal development. We are now looking for a supervisor/guide for our operations.

You may work in several of our teams, as our operations require flexibility and the ability to solve emerging situations. We envision you primarily working as a supervisor within packaging, cleaning, and occasionally in our restaurant. As a supervisor, you will be part of a work group consisting of team leaders, supervisors, and a varying number of temporary employees.

Your task is to coach and share your expertise to develop our employees. As a supervisor, you are involved in daily work, providing guidance and ensuring that tasks are performed and quality-assured. You are an integral part of the work team and collaborate closely with our employees.

Responsibilities

As a supervisor, you coach and share your expertise to develop our employees. You are involved in daily operations, providing guidance and ensuring that tasks are performed with high quality. Together with the work team, you work closely with our employees and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and developmental work environment.

A central part of your role as a supervisor is your commitment to reducing unemployment and promoting increased inclusion, participation, and creating opportunities for individuals' continued development towards self-sufficiency.

In the packaging operations, you supervise various packing tasks where attention to detail and structure are crucial for achieving quality and efficiency.

In the cleaning operations, you supervise various types of cleaning tasks with the same high demands for attention to detail and structure.

In the kitchen and restaurant operations, you supervise tasks such as kitchen work, cash register, bakery, as well as other common moments in lunch service, café, and conference, with a focus on learning and personal development.

The goal of these operations is for employees to gain increased competence and thereby better opportunities to establish themselves on the regular labor market.

Qualifications and Requirements

A Category B driver's license for manual transmission is required.

The work involves physical tasks, so you need to have good physical fitness.

You have at least completed upper secondary education with passing grades.

You have pedagogical ability, are clear, and have a coaching approach. You are structured in your work and can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. The work requires you to be flexible, solution-focused, and have good collaboration skills. You need to be confident in your role as a supervisor, have high personal maturity, and be a good role model for our employees. Furthermore, you are calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Previous experience in supervision or teaching.
• Education in kitchen/restaurant or equivalent competencies acquired through work. Knowledge of Food Hygiene is meritorious.
• Other post-secondary education in behavioral science.
• Knowledge of the Swedish Public Employment Service's mission and various measures.
• Knowledge of the social services' overarching mission and the conditions for social assistance.
• Knowledge of ensuring quality and following up on results, as well as good communication skills, responsibility, and supervision.
