The Business Area (VO) Imaging and Function at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) provides first-class diagnostics with investigations and treatments in many different areas. Here, we conduct high-level and multifaceted research and development in collaboration with other actors. We perform approximately 450,000 examinations every year while conducting cutting-edge research. Our catchment areas are diverse, covering specialist healthcare, national highly specialized care, and regional assignments. We operate with high-tech equipment used to perform imaging and functional examinations, such as conventional X-ray, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), intervention, and isotope activities. At Imaging and Function, we perform both emergency and scheduled examinations. We are located in Lund, Malmö, and Trelleborg and consist of approximately 750 employees.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for an Assistant Nurse for the Pediatric and Skeletal Radiology Department within VO Imaging and Function at Sus in Lund!

As an Assistant Nurse with us, you are an important part of the patient's journey through care. You meet patients of different ages and stages and contribute to creating security, participation, and professional interaction. The tasks are varied, combining patient care and administrative duties. The position also includes evening and weekend shifts at the Emergency Radiology department.

This includes among other things:

• Scheduling, reading referrals, and reception work.
• Preparatory ward work and image transfer.
• Work in the MRI, CT, and conventional labs together with radiographers, where you receive and assist patients before, during, and after the examination.
• Prepare and assist with ultrasound-guided examinations.
• Handling materials, orders, and logistics.

We work in cross-professional teams and help each other ensure that the patient receives the best possible care. Our teams include doctors, radiographers, assistant nurses, and administrative staff.

VO Imaging and Function works with digital systems such as RIS and PACS, where we receive all referrals, book examinations, archive images, and register the examination and its progress. We provide you with internal training in both RIS and PACS, as well as training in several different positions within our operations. The job as an Assistant Nurse with us is varied and content-rich.

Qualifications

We welcome you who are trained as an Assistant Nurse with a focus on emergency care/healthcare according to the previous program structure, or who are trained as an Assistant Nurse within the new program structure having studied all specializations. Very good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a prerequisite for the position. It is meritorious if you have previous experience working in a radiology department, activities involving patient scheduling, or reception work within healthcare. We also see it as advantageous if you already have knowledge of the RIS and PACS systems.
