Are you driven by the desire to make a real difference – for real? Do you want a job where every workday brings new encounters, exciting challenges, and meaningful development – for both others and yourself? Then you might be the person we are looking for. At Skellefteå Short-term Care Centre, we are in the midst of an exciting change process, and we are now looking for a nursing assistant who wants to help shape the future of care and support together with us.

We are currently looking for a nursing assistant for an assessment unit.

YOUR ROLE

Here, you will meet individuals with changing care needs. Our daily work is characterized by both variety and intensity – and that is exactly what makes the work so rewarding. You will become an important part of an engaged team, where your contribution is crucial for the individual to have a safe and meaningful stay with us. At SKC, you will quickly get to know new people – and just as quickly become an important part of their daily lives.

  • Assessment: On our assessment units, we receive individuals after a decision on support has been made. Here, the task is to assess the individual's needs together as a team from a rehabilitative approach. We work continuously together to strengthen the individual's opportunities for independence and participation. The goal is for the individual to be able to return home with the right support and conditions.

The work involves performing care and support tasks, as well as carrying out health and medical care interventions on behalf of licensed personnel. You are also responsible for planning, documenting, and following up in our digital systems. Through your professional attitude, you contribute to safety and participation for both the individual and their relatives.

We also offer a palliative unit where we meet people in the final stages of life, as well as individuals with tracheostomies or other complex needs. The work focuses on safety, dignity, and presence for both the individual and their relatives. Here, you work with qualified care by documenting, planning, and performing care based on support decisions, as well as carrying out health and medical care interventions under the delegation of licensed personnel.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and want to develop in your profession. If you have experience in health and medical care, rehabilitation, working with cognitive diseases, palliative care, or mapping, we see this as meritorious – but most importantly, you want to make a difference in people's daily lives.

Since documentation and administrative tasks are an important part of the work, you need to feel confident writing in Swedish and be accustomed to working in digital systems. Having previously had a role where documentation or administration was a clear part of the task is an advantage.

You thrive in a varied job where you meet people at different stages of life. Collaboration and team spirit are second nature to you, and you maintain your calm even when things get stressful. You are empathetic, receptive, and treat both care recipients and relatives with respect and warmth.

Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement. Skellefteå Municipality is part of the Finnish and Sami administrative area. Knowledge of Finnish and Sami languages, as well as cultural competence in these areas, is therefore meritorious.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

Skellefteå Short-term Care Centre consists of four units – three focused on assessment and one focused on palliative care and, in some cases, tracheostomy care. Skellefteå Short-term Care Centre is an important part of the business area Preventive and Authority Enforcement within care and support.

Here, you will work closely with the individual, which makes the care both qualified and personal. We work with person-centered care and a rehabilitative approach that strengthens the individual's opportunities to return home and manage on their own for as long as possible.

We offer a workplace with colleagues who support each other, where teamwork creates security – for both you and those we are here for. The shift work includes days and evenings, as well as every third weekend.

GOOD TO KNOW

We recruit based on competence and focus on your experience, knowledge, and potential. Instead of a cover letter, you answer some selection questions and attach an updated CV.
