Care and Support Positions – 25 Openings in Falkenberg Municipality

Here in Falkenberg Municipality, you can make a significant difference. Our mission is to provide high-quality municipal services throughout all stages of life. We are also actively involved in developing Falkenberg as a place to live. Our vision is that we grow for a sustainable future.

25 positions available.

Job Responsibilities

We offer jobs within three different areas:

  • Specialized Housing: Housing for the elderly where they receive help in their daily lives. Here you work in a team but perform your own tasks. On the short-term ward, you work with users who are there for assessment, rehabilitation, respite care, or palliative care.
  • Home Care: The elderly live at home and need help in their daily lives. Here you work primarily on your own, but always have colleagues who can support you. The Home Care department also includes a safety team that responds to safety alarms from care recipients.
  • LSS/Functional Support: Housing or day activities for people with various disabilities. Here you usually work in a group with your colleagues, but can also work independently.

Those who match the needs of our operations will be invited to a presentation. Afterward, you will meet a recruiter for an individual interview. During the interview, we will tell you about our different operations and have the opportunity to talk to you personally.

You will receive an introduction at your chosen workplace and shadow a regular employee to feel secure in your role before you start working.

If the units have a need and you are interested in extra work, it may be possible to work on a summer schedule.

Regardless of the department, we offer varied work where you meet many people and have different tasks.

As a substitute in care and support, you help people of all ages have a meaningful and functional daily life when regular staff are sick or on leave. Tasks may include helping with morning routines, personal hygiene, going on excursions, or encouraging and motivating care recipients in their daily lives.

All planning is done via mobile devices, so it is clear what is expected of you, but the job may also involve situations that are not always predictable.

We need employees who can work days, evenings, weekends, or nights. Staff work awake or sleeping shifts to ensure that each user's individual routine and circadian rhythm are preserved.

Qualifications

It is a great advantage if you have education and experience within care and support, but it is not a requirement. You need to have a willingness to learn new things and develop.

There are clear routines that are important to follow to ensure good care for our users. You may, for example, be responsible for dispensing medication. This requires great attention to detail.

It is important that you enjoy working with people. Our users need different types of help and treatment. You need to be sensitive to the users' needs and be good at collaborating with your colleagues.

  • You need to be able to take initiative and have the ability to prioritize when multiple things happen simultaneously.
  • You need to understand, write, and speak Swedish.
  • You need to be able to handle the IT systems necessary for the job, which requires computer literacy.
  • In several of our operations, you need to have a driver's license, but this is not required everywhere.

In the event of employment within care and support, you need to provide an extract from your criminal record. This is part of our routine to ensure safety and security in operations. You will receive more information about this during the recruitment process.

You must be 18 years or older. The age limit is set due to special regulations according to the Work Environment Act. Regulations regarding the work environment for minors are regulated in AFS 2012:3.

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3–6 months.
