Our Operations

The hospital's emergency department plays a central role in operations with approximately 26,000 visits per year. The emergency department is available around the clock for acute visits. We receive patients of all ages with various diagnoses, many of whom are children. The hospital's clinics and surgical operations have an elective profile, and general surgery, orthopedics, urology, and gynecology are performed in our operating theaters. Over 5,000 operations are performed annually on our surgical ward, and we have short care periods on our ward. Together with our partner, Akademiska Sjukhuset in Uppsala, our mission is to provide the region's care across different levels.

Your Role

Typical duties for a registered junior doctor. You will start working on the ward and in the emergency department. Over time, we will transition you to the primary on-call line, where you will also have the opportunity to begin your development in outpatient work and on the surgical ward. On-call work is performed around the clock. In the evenings and on weekends, there is home-based backup on-call. The work is independent but with supervision and support from a specialist or attending physician in surgery, orthopedics, or urology. Here you gain breadth, while also having the opportunity to focus on one of these profile areas, providing a good start for your future career.

Your Qualifications

• Registered physician.
• Experience working in an emergency department is considered an advantage.
• We are looking for a registered physician with an interest in surgical operations such as surgery, orthopedics, or urology.
• You should be able to work independently, but naturally with an experienced colleague as support when needed.

Your Competence

You have good judgment, good collaboration skills, are accustomed to solving problems, and are responsible and flexible. You continuously maintain your knowledge. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

We Offer

Part-time employment with the possibility of extension, full-time with supervision. Start date by agreement. We interview continuously and hire on an ongoing basis.
