Are you passionate about strengthening people's daily lives and recovery? We are looking for an occupational therapist for our specialist clinics within adult psychiatry.

Your workplace

The psychiatric specialist units consist of the Eating Disorders Clinic, the Clinic for Emotional Instability, and the LAR (Long-Acting Release) Clinic.

Here you will have the opportunity to work with three different and interesting target groups. We work in interdisciplinary teams where the focus is on participation and evidence-based care. The workplace is located in the Psychiatry House at the Central Hospital in Karlstad.

Your responsibilities

As an occupational therapist with us, you will work on assessing and treating patients' ability to perform activities, daily routines, and social contexts based on their individual needs. The role also includes conducting occupational therapy assessments in connection with neuropsychiatric investigations. You will develop and implement occupational therapy interventions, both individually and in groups, with a focus on recovery and increased quality of life.

The work involves close collaboration with colleagues within psychiatry and other relevant actors to create holistic solutions for the patient. You will actively participate in teamwork where your expertise contributes to a cohesive care chain.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist and have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

As a person, you are proactive, take responsibility, and feel confident in your own decisions. You are happy to bring new ideas and contribute to developing work in practice. Furthermore, you plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently, with the ability to see the bigger picture in both actions and decisions. The role requires a strong patient focus as well as a collaborative and solution-oriented attitude towards work.

Experience of working within psychiatric care is meritorious.
