Description

As a school counselor, you will primarily work with health-promoting and preventive measures, as well as implementing interventions at both group and individual levels. The goal is to create a good environment for students' health, learning, and development. You will have regular contact with students, parents, school staff, support organizations, and authorities.

You will work through various types of conversations, both individually and in groups, provide guidance and consultation to school staff, and serve as a support during crises and conflicts. You will participate in network meetings and play an active role in the work against discrimination and bullying.

You will be part of the school's student health team, providing psychosocial competence. IES has a central student health unit where the coordinating counselor is included. The coordinating counselor introduces new counselors, invites them to various meetings, and serves as a support in daily work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work (Social Work). Experience from working in schools and within social services (children, young people, and families) is meritorious. You should have competence in counseling methodologies and experience using various counseling models.

It is important that you have the ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively in a team. Good collaboration skills with other societal actors, such as social services and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), are also crucial. Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities, such as social competence, flexibility, and teamwork skills.
