About the role

As a technician, you work close to production with preventive maintenance on our facilities, where you practically analyze, identify, and implement improvements in production equipment. Your work also includes planning, preparation, and handling of spare parts to ensure efficiency, availability, and turnover in production operations to achieve our common goals. You will participate in projects that develop our facilities to meet requirements regarding environment, machine efficiency, and production capacity.

You work both independently and together with your colleagues in teams. We always prioritize safety, and you perform your work in accordance with SSAB's routines and processes for safety, health, and the environment. We have gathered employees working with hydraulics, tribology, and media into their own group, where you will have the opportunity to help shape working methods and development within the area.

Your main responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance and improvement work
• Analyze disruptions that occur and develop action proposals
• Plan maintenance shutdowns in consultation with the operations organization
• Keep yourself updated daily on the status of the facilities
• Participate in facility projects and drive development forward
• Develop proposals for long-term maintenance plans and budgets for your area

About you

For this position, you are required to have a completed upper secondary education. Further education in pipe maintenance, pump maintenance, pressure equipment, or other technical background is meritorious.

You need to have good knowledge of the Office package and be proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

You actively contribute to a safe and secure working environment.

Experience in similar positions and knowledge within Media is seen as meritorious.
