For those new to the profession, Örnsköldsvik Municipality offers an induction program for new teachers. During your first year, you will be assigned a mentor—an experienced teacher with the same subject qualification—who can guide and support you.

Responsibilities

You will teach woodwork (woodcraft) in grades 3–6. You will have overall responsibility for the student group and handle the associated documentation and contacts. Contact and collaboration with guardians is an important part of the role. The position involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching together with a work team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a teaching degree and subject qualification in craft/woodwork.

You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a positive atmosphere in the student group and work team is second nature to you.

We would appreciate experience in leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and the ability to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are attentive, take responsibility, are engaged, and creative.
