Working as an operating room nurse is a varied role that involves everything from direct patient contact to handling advanced medical technology equipment, medications, and everything in between. As an operating room nurse with us, you will work in a team where patient safety, precision, and collaboration are the focus.

We are looking for

We are looking for you who are a licensed specialist nurse in operating room nursing. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and understood. It is an advantage if you have experience working as an operating room nurse and have worked in a sterile processing department (CSSD). We also view it positively if you have knowledge of the medical record systems Cosmic and Provisio.

You are flexible and have strong collaboration skills, while also being independent, taking personal responsibility, and having the courage to act based on your professional conviction. You work in a structured manner, planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work effectively.

What you will work with

You are an important part of the team surrounding the patient. The work includes preparation, execution, and postoperative care for patients undergoing planned or emergency surgeries. We are an operating department with activities in orthopedics, surgery, gynecology, and urology. Together, we take responsibility for providing the patient with the best care. To ensure the best care, the role also includes medication and equipment handling, as well as work in the sterile processing department.

Operating in Gällivare is part of the regional clinic An/Op/Iva. We conduct surgical activities at the hospitals in Gällivare, Kalix, and Sunderbyn, providing pre-, peri-, and postoperative care.

The three areas prioritized within An/Op/Iva are stable staffing with high competence, high availability with efficient flows, and a high safety culture.

Information about the position

Permanent full-time position with daytime working hours and on-call duties during evenings, nights, and weekends. There is an opportunity for temporary positions if desired.

Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
