You will step into a strategic role where a major public actor wishes to strengthen its position as a sustainable hub in a key European transport corridor. The assignment follows previous analysis work and involves translating insights into concrete initiatives within two areas: the electrification of international road transport and the development of international train travel.

Here, you work closely with issues spanning mobility, infrastructure, energy, and the green transition. You produce analyses and recommendations that serve as a basis for prioritization and decision-making, while simultaneously engaging in dialogue with various actors within the transport sector, energy sector, and public administration. This role is suited for you if you want to influence long-term development in a complex and socially important area.

• Conduct analyses that concretize how the organization can develop as a hub for sustainable transport.
• Identify relevant locations for charging stations for heavy road transport.
• Analyze technical and energy-related prerequisites, including electricity capacity and other central infrastructure aspects.
• Prepare overview investment and impact assessments to support the prioritization of efforts.
• Gather and analyze perspectives from relevant actors within the transport sector, energy sector, and authorities.
• Analyze the potential for international train travel and segment by different target groups, such as tourists, business travelers, and commuters.
• Identify possible new connections and collaboration partners related to international passenger rail traffic.
• Facilitate workshops, drive ongoing dialogue with project and reference groups, and compile a main report along with a concise decision support document with clear recommendations.

• Appropriate education and at least ten years of experience in independent work within the relevant field.
• Documented experience working with complex issues and analyses within the subject area.
• Senior competence with knowledge and experience in mobility and traffic for both freight and passenger transport by road and rail.
• Senior competence with knowledge of charging infrastructure for heavy transport.
• Senior competence with knowledge of international passenger rail traffic and travel.
• Knowledge of logistics and the transport industry, focusing on long-distance and/or international road freight transport.
• Knowledge of the conditions in the Øresund Region and the Fehmarn Belt connection.
• Ability to conduct market and potential analyses.
• Ability to prepare investment and impact assessments and to summarize complex issues into clear decision support documents.
• Experience in stakeholder management as well as facilitating workshops and dialogue processes.
• Ability to collaborate between public actors and the business community, particularly within the transport sector.
• Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

• Technical competence regarding energy issues to enable relevant conversations with energy actors.
• Understanding of the market conditions for international passenger rail traffic.
