Theater Martin Mutter is an independent professional theater in Örebro that targets children and young people. We perform approximately 200 shows per year, both on our own stage in Örebro and on tours throughout the country.

Our Artistic Direction

Performing arts have a unique ability to contribute to a society guided by humanistic values. We create: bold performing arts that reflect the reality of children and young people today – performing arts that provide space for reflection on the present – performing arts that give courage to change the world around us.

We want our entire operations to be permeated by a distinct and grounded child and youth perspective. Our target group should be co-creators of the performing arts we produce, and we will develop new methods and approaches to deepen and strengthen their participation.

As the only independent professional theater in Örebro County with children and young people as the primary target group, Theater Martin Mutter has a special responsibility towards the citizens of our region. We strive to ensure that children and young people in our region have their voices heard and to increase their opportunities to experience professional performing arts. We also work to ensure that professional performing artists have the opportunity to both live and work in our region.

We are now looking for a substitute Producer on a full-time basis for the period October 15, 2026 – May 31, 2027.

As a Producer, you have the main responsibility for the theater's productions and projects: planning, organization, and communication, both internally and externally. The role also includes some financial management, responsibility for the theater's social media, as well as managing venue rentals and hosting guest performances. Since Theater Martin Mutter is a small workplace, we all help each other with other administrative and practical tasks (as time permits).

We are looking for you who are an experienced project manager, who enjoys working both independently and in a team. To thrive in this role, you should be meticulous, forward-thinking, solution-oriented, and receptive. We would appreciate it if you have competence and experience from similar tasks. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education as a Producer or Project Manager within the cultural sector, or equivalent work experience.
  • Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 programs. Basic knowledge of InDesign and WordPress is a plus.

Working hours: Primarily daytime on weekdays, but evenings and weekends occur. Travel may be required.

Salary: Fixed monthly salary. We apply the collective agreement between Swedish Performing Arts and the Trade Union Scen och Film regarding independent theaters.

Apply: Send your CV and cover letter by August 6, 2026, to [email protected]. Please include "Sub. Producer" in the subject line.
