KT-Kuriren is looking for a reporter
About Us
Erna Media is making a major investment in the future of local journalism, and KT-Kuriren is a key part of this initiative. We are developing our journalism with a clear digital focus, firmly rooted in our mission: to strengthen democracy, safeguard independent journalism, and contribute to a more inclusive society.
We aim to reach more readers, particularly an audience in the middle of life (ages 30–39), who have high demands for relevance, pace, and accessibility. Therefore, we are developing both content and storytelling formats, ranging from breaking news to engaging in-depth features.
We are now looking for you who want to help further refine our local news coverage.
About the Role
As a reporter at KT-Kuriren, you will cover the local news flow in Karlskoga and the surrounding area, always with a clear digital mindset. Here, you will have the opportunity to test new approaches, think differently, and help shape the future of local journalism.
Your responsibilities will include, among other things:
- finding your own news stories and angles that engage the target audience aged 30–39
- combining fast news reporting with in-depth journalism
- covering municipal democracy and political developments
- developing storytelling across text, images, and video
About You
You are curious, driven, and enjoy working both quickly and with long-term perspective. You take initiative, are confident in digital news workflows, and thrive working independently.
We believe you have:
- a journalism degree or equivalent experience
- strong storytelling skills in both text and image
- experience in digital journalism and an understanding of what engages the audience
A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.

This is a full-time temporary position based at our newsroom in Karlskoga.
