Bofors Test Center continues to grow, and we are now looking for more technical photographers who want to be part of documenting some of the world's most advanced tests.

This job is about much more than just capturing a good image. Using advanced camera technology and specially adapted equipment, you document events and sequences that cannot be perceived with the naked eye. The material becomes an important part of the analysis and contributes to the development of future defense technology.

– Many might think of traditional photography when they hear the title, but this is a highly technical role. We work with advanced film and camera systems in environments where precision, quality, and technology are absolutely crucial. At the same time, we are a team that helps each other and develops together, says Niklas Nord, Bofors Test Center.

A role where no two days are alike

The work alternates between test ranges and the office. One day you rig camera systems ahead of a test, the next you analyze and edit material or work on developing equipment and methods for upcoming assignments.

The role suits you if you have experience with advanced camera technology, but the path here doesn't need to be traditional. You might, for example, have worked with technical photography, high-speed cameras, or industrial video production. You could also come from an environment where advanced camera technology is used at a high pace, such as in large TV productions or live sports broadcasting.

Examples of tasks:

• Plan, rig, and conduct technical film and photography assignments during tests.
• Handle high-speed cameras and other advanced camera equipment.
• Document tests and ensure that the material meets the customers' requirements and wishes.
• Process, analyze, and deliver film and image material after completed tests.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and develop camera equipment and technical systems.
• Participate in the planning and execution of tests together with colleagues and customers.
• Contribute to the development of new working methods and technical solutions within the business.
• Participate in tests and assignments both in Karlskoga and on business trips within and outside Sweden.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We would like you to have:

• Experience in advanced video production where the camera has been your primary tool.
• Experience in technical photography or similar work where quality, precision, and delivery requirements have been central.
• An engineering degree, other relevant technical education, or equivalent work experience.
• A strong interest in technology and experience in troubleshooting and working with technical equipment.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• A valid driver's license (Category B).

It is meritorious if you have experience with advanced filming using drones.
