The opportunity is now available to work as a sign language interpreter at the National School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
About the position
We offer a position for approximately one year where you will primarily interpret for students, but interpretation may also occur between staff. This is pedagogical interpreting, requiring great flexibility. Teaching takes place either in groups or individually. Your duties include interpreting for the teacher as well as the dialogue between students. There is an interpreter coordinator on site who distributes assignments.
Examples of tasks:
- interpretation at meetings between students, staff, and guardians
- interpretation in various teaching situations
- interpretation during study visits, performances, lectures
- in collaboration with pedagogues, adapt interpretation and teaching to students' different needs
- actively support students' learning and school situation

Tullängsgymnasiet is a modern technical high school in southern Örebro with high appeal. The school has close cooperation with local businesses. We offer vocational training in Construction and Civil Engineering, Computer Communications, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Technology, Transport, and Plumbing. We also offer the university-preparatory Technology program. Tullängsgymnasiet has approximately 1,400 students and 200 employees.
