About the company
Karossan Invest AB is one of Sweden's leading specialists in vehicle interiors and constructions. The company performs assembly, welding, sheet metal, plastic, and painting work as well as electrical installations. Karossan was founded in 1944 as a carpentry shop with Scania as its largest customer – they simply built truck cabins out of wood. As the automotive industry has evolved, so has Karossan, with more customers and more complex assignments.
Today, approximately 35 people work in the operation, with production located in Södertälje. Customers include Mercedes, the Swedish Armed Forces, the Police, the Rescue Services, Relacom, SVT, Telia, and Volkswagen. Karossan stands for quality, craftsmanship, and innovative solutions – from idea to finished vehicle superstructure.
Responsibilities
As an assembler/electrician at Karossan, you work with electrical installations and adaptations in various vehicle projects. You participate in vehicle conversions and equipment and work both independently and together with colleagues in production. The tasks vary and may include cable laying, mounting electrical components, connections, and checks. You work from drawings, references, and electrical schematics and ensure that the installations maintain high quality throughout the process. Your working hours are Monday to Thursday, 06:30 to 15:45, and on Fridays 06:30 to 14:20.
Education, experience, and personal qualities
- Upper secondary education, preferably with a focus on electricity or technology.
- Basic electrical knowledge and understanding of electrical schematics.
