Your Role

You will join a flexible team where we perform surface mounting, post-assembly, and inspection of printed circuit boards (PCBs). You will participate in the product development process to contribute a manufacturability perspective and maintain good contact with the design department and adjacent support functions such as production engineering and quality.

Main responsibilities:

• Manual assembly of electrical components and some mechanics for series production and prototypes, according to current documentation.
• Repair and modify printed circuit boards and PCB assemblies.
• Inspect and control printed circuit boards and PCB assemblies.
• Assist development/production engineering in the creation of prototypes based on provisional documentation.
• Participate in the creation of manufacturing documentation.
• Painting of printed circuit boards.
• Actively work on efficiency improvements and enhancements.

Your Profile

We are looking for you with a genuine interest in technology and manufacturing. The work requires you to be meticulous and have a strong awareness of quality. Our operations are constantly changing and developing, so we are looking for someone who can interact with both development engineers and production engineers. The position requires you to be cooperative, self-reliant, and capable of driving internal improvement projects.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Upper secondary education in electronics or similar technical training.
• Experience in electronics assembly.
• Soldering certificate (FSD 5115 YR).
• Ability to read and understand drawings, such as circuit diagrams.
• Good language skills in Swedish and English.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Education or experience working according to IPC A-610 or IPC A-620.
• Experience in PCB assembly.
• Experience working in a production environment.
• Experience working with administrative planning systems (MPS).
• ESD training or knowledge of its impact and risks on electronics.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks applicable at the time. For positions where Saab requires a security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
