Operation and Maintenance is a region within Peab Infrastructure. We are active in ongoing maintenance of streets and squares, water and sewerage, infrastructure works, road maintenance, parks, and external property maintenance. Your Role:

As a Foreman, you assist the Site Manager, plan, lead, and distribute the work. The position includes, among other things, preparing TA plans, steering/leading winter resources on state and municipal roads, road mowing, paving works, emergency measures in accidents such as cleanup/diversion, drainage/replacement of road culverts, and more. You are responsible for various projects, which include quality assurance, working environment, customer contact, economic follow-up, planning of personnel and machinery, invoicing, and participation in budget work. Your role in the group also involves meeting customers and clients, preparing quotations, and making proposals, which means you need to have an interest in economics, business, and customer relations.

You will be part of our team in Värnamo working with road operation and maintenance. The work focuses on operation and maintenance as well as the construction of smaller projects, which involves working with and leading own and hired personnel / subcontractors. The role of Foreman in our group involves a lot of freedom under responsibility.

On-Call Duty

Both summer and winter on-call duty are included in the role.

• Part of the summer on-call duty involves plans to handle seasonal weather phenomena and road obstacles (approx. every sixth week).
• Winter on-call duty involves 24/7 monitoring of weather forecasts and road conditions to deploy resources before storms or ice occur (approx. every sixth day).

Qualifications:

• Have a relevant technical education and experience in a similar role as a Foreman within the industry.
• Have experience in infrastructure work as well as operation and maintenance of roads and winter road maintenance.
• Have good IT skills and experience working with administrative tasks.
• Hold a valid B-driver's license.

Since the daily work involves a lot of contact with different actors, you are social and have an easy time collaborating. You project a professional image and easily build trust. You have good communication skills, and your leadership is clear, present, and motivating.

The position includes on-call duty. Workplace located in Värnamo.
