About the Job
We are looking for you who have a master's degree in neuroscience to work within a project on complicated grief and psilocybin. This placebo-controlled, double-blind clinical study is conducted at Linköping University and investigates whether psilocybin can facilitate adaptation to loss by affecting the serotonin system and neural plasticity.
The work will include:
- Project coordination
- Recruitment of participants
- Data collection (questionnaires, behavioral experiments, functional magnetic resonance imaging; fMRI, transcranial magnetic stimulation; TMS)
- Data management
- Data analysis
About You
We are currently looking for someone with a master's degree in neuroscience.
The applicant is expected to have a strong interest in humanities research within the neuroscience field. Experience in experimental work, specifically with behavioral tasks, fMRI, TMS, as well as experience in clinical trials and GCP training, is required. The applicant must have good knowledge of advanced methods for fMRI data analysis.
You who apply should be meticulous, have strong initiative and organizational skills, as well as well-developed communication skills. Since you will be working in an international environment, very good knowledge of English and basic knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. Furthermore, you are responsible, engaged, and able to work independently while also having good teamwork skills.
As the work involves contact with research patients in medical studies, it is important that you have an empathetic approach and are calm and stable as a person. You should have experience handling information subject to confidentiality. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.
Your Workplace
You will work at CSAN (https://liu.se/forskning/csan), which integrates knowledge and methods from various areas of neuroscience, both basic and clinical. CSAN brings together research groups in adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, neurobiology, clinical neurophysiology, and neuroeconomics.

About the Employment
The employment is for a fixed term of one year. The position is full-time.
Start date: 2026-09-01. Selection begins in week 29.
