About the role

As a Lead Data Engineer / Data Architect, you will play a central role in customer projects where modern data platforms are at the center. You combine technical expertise with business understanding and help customers move from ambition and target vision to sustainable, scalable solutions that create real value.

You work closely with operations, technical decision-makers, architects, and development teams, becoming a key advisor on issues regarding architecture, scalability, security, and long-term development. Here you have the opportunity to make a real impact – both strategically and technically.

You might, for example, work with greenfield platforms, modernization of existing data environments, Fabric adoption, lakehouse/data warehouse design, integration solutions, and AI-ready data foundations. This is a role for you if you want to combine hands-on delivery with consulting, architecture, and technical leadership in projects that are high on the customer's agenda.

Who are you?

We believe you have several years of experience building modern data platforms in the cloud and that you currently work as a Senior Data Engineer, Lead Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or Data Architect. You are confident in the technology, accustomed to discussing solution design and target architecture with customers and decision-makers, and motivated by using your skills where they make a real difference.

You thrive in a consulting role, like taking responsibility from idea to delivery, and are driven by creating robust, well-thought-out solutions that customers truly benefit from. At the same time, you appreciate working in an environment where high technical standards are combined with collaboration, knowledge sharing, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

What we consider important for the role

• Practical experience in designing and building modern data platforms in Microsoft Fabric, or strong related experience from Azure-based data platforms such as Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks
• Good understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and design of lakehouse and data warehouse solutions
• Very good knowledge of SQL as well as experience with Python, PySpark, or similar for transformation and automation
• Experience with ETL/ELT, pipelines, integrations, and DataOps/CI/CD in cloud-based environments
• Ability to take technical responsibility, lead decision-making, and collaborate closely with both customers and development teams
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English

Advantageous experience

• Microsoft Purview, data governance, and lineage
• Snowflake, dbt, or other modern transformation frameworks
• AI platforms, MLOps, or solutions enabling generative AI
• Azure Landing Zones, security patterns, and broader cloud architecture experience
• Power BI and understanding of the entire chain from data platform to consumption

Experience with Power BI is therefore advantageous, but the role is primarily engineering- and platform-heavy rather than report- and visualization-focused.
