Drottning Blankas Gymnasieskola in Gävle was established in 2013 and offers vocational and university-preparatory education within the Economics Program, Social Sciences Program, Craft Program, as well as the Sales and Service Program. The school has approximately 400 students and 35 employees.

Dining Hall Host for Drottning Blankas Gymnasieskola in Gävle

We are looking for an engaged and service-oriented dining hall host who wants to help create a pleasant and welcoming lunch environment for our students and employees.

The position is 50% and is scheduled during daytime hours, Monday–Friday.

As a dining hall host, you are responsible for the daily operation of the school's cafeteria. The food is delivered ready-made from our partner, and your role is to ensure that the serving runs smoothly and that the dining hall maintains a high standard regarding service, hygiene, and comfort.

The position is part of a team of three people who together are responsible for serving lunch to approximately 450 students.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare daily food deliveries
• Serve and present the food in an appealing manner
• Check and document food temperatures according to current procedures
• Maintain order and create a pleasant environment in the dining hall
• Wipe tables and ensure good hygiene during and after lunch service
• Handle dishwashing and prepare the return of dishes and serving materials
• Order and manage certain consumables
• Participate in other tasks related to the daily operation of the dining hall

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and thrives in an environment where many young people meet every day. You are responsible, structured, and have a good attitude towards others. You see what needs to be done and are willing to take initiative.

Experience from restaurants, cafés, large kitchens, service, or similar operations is meritorious, but personal suitability is equally important.

Salary: 25,000–30,000 SEK/month at full-time, depending on experience and qualifications.
