About the Job

Best Western Hotel City Gävle is a pleasant hotel located in the very best city center position, next to Gallerian Nian and Stortorget. The hotel has 135 fresh rooms. The hotel also features conference facilities, a gym, a playroom, sauna, relaxation area, restaurant, and a bar with full beverage service.

We are now looking for reception staff for work on individual days/extra as needed to our hotel. This position is suitable for you who want to combine work with studies, another job, or are looking for extra income alongside your main activities.

About the Position

As a receptionist, you are the face of the hotel and are responsible for providing our guests with a professional and welcoming reception. The work is performed as needed, primarily during high occupancy, sick leave, or holidays.

At our hotel, collaboration and flexibility are highly valued. We are now seeking employees who are flexible with both tasks and working hours. Our operations run seven days a week, year-round. The hotel reception is also staffed around the clock, which means working hours can vary between day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Guest check-in and check-out
• Guest service and handling of inquiries
• Bookings and administration in the booking system
• Phone and email contact
• Simpler administrative tasks related to the reception
• Serving in our hotel restaurant
• Sales in our lobby bar

Qualifications

• Service-oriented and responsible
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English; additional languages are an asset
• You must be at least 20 years old, as the position involves serving responsibilities, which requires the minimum age for a serving license
• Previous experience in reception or hospitality is an asset but not a requirement
