We are looking for you who want to take technical responsibility for how we build, structure and further develop our data platform, and set the technical frameworks and standards that the team works by. We work with modern tools where AI drives both product development and daily work. You will become part of a tight, experienced and cohesive team that collaborates closely.

What will you work with?

Take ownership of the technical whole in our data infrastructure, from how data flows into Google BigQuery to how it reaches the end user via Power BI. You set the direction, not just for your own code but for how the team builds. Specifically, this means that you...

• Own and drive the overarching architecture of our data platform and ensure it is scalable, sustainable and adapted for future needs.
• Define guidelines, best practices, technical standards and ensure they are actually followed.
• Work proactively to identify and remediate technical debt and risks in the data infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with product development and the business side to ensure that architectural decisions are based on real needs and deliver value all the way.
• Coach and support the team in implementation issues, architectural choices and technical direction.
• Keep up to date within data technology, AI and related platforms to be able to spread the right knowledge in the team and organization.
• Are a decision-maker when there are competing technical perspectives.

What have you done previously?

• Have broad experience within Data Engineering in senior positions including architectural responsibility.
• Have a relevant technical education in computer science, systems science or similar — or equivalent experience.
• Have deep and broad experience in designing and being responsible for data architecture in a cloud environment.
• Experience with Google BigQuery and/or Microsoft Fabric at an architectural level.
• Master SQL and Python at a high level and understand how technical choices today affect tomorrow's sustainability.
• Have led technical discussions and architectural decisions, not just implemented them.
• Communicate architecture and technical choices clearly to both developers and decision-makers.
• Fluent in Swedish and English in speech and writing.

Advantageous

• Experience with dbt, Apache Airflow or similar orchestration and transformation frameworks.
• Experience of integrating with external APIs and understanding underlying data structures.
