We are looking for an experienced Scheduler who wants to take a key role in a comprehensive and long-term infrastructure program within railways and electricity power. This role is perfect for you if you have solid experience in qualified scheduling in complex projects and thrive on combining strategic planning, monitoring, coordination, and close collaboration with project management, technical specialists, and external parties.

The assignment is based in Gothenburg and involves qualified program and project planning for a national development program related to the replacement of overhead contact lines, contact line foundations, and the upgrading of the electricity power system. You will primarily work with the program but may also support other railway projects within the same business area.

Scope and Start

• Start: October 1, 2026
• End: October 31, 2028, with a possible extension for an additional 3 years.
• Scope: Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Presence: Physical presence is required at the office 5 days per week
• Travel and Hours: Travel to projects and fieldwork occur, especially during production phases. Work in evenings, nights, and weekends may occur as needed.

About the Role

As a Scheduler and Sub-project Manager for scheduling, you will have primary responsibility for leading, directing, and monitoring the scheduling work in the various phases of the program and projects. You will serve as support to program and project management and act as a central counterpart to schedulers from designers and contractors.

You will work with both overarching program planning and detailed project monitoring. The role requires a very good understanding of complex project environments, dependencies between technical areas, production, economics, and progress.

Examples of Tasks

• Lead and coordinate scheduling work within programs and projects.
• Develop, maintain, and manage routines, templates, and methods for scheduling.
• Participate in the creation and monitoring of project schedules.
• Review and check schedules, planning documentation, and progress reports from designers and contractors.
• Monitor time, cost, quality, risks, and progress, and contribute to forecasts.
• Report status and deviations to program and project management.
• Actively participate in design, construction, and economic meetings.
• Coordinate with technical branches, adjacent projects, and external parties.
• Monitor work in the design and production phases, including field checks.
• Create training materials and conduct training on scheduling, routines, and tools.
• Contribute to the development of requirements, processes, and methods related to scheduling and contract management.

Requirements

• You must have a university or college degree of at least 180 ECTS in civil engineering, technology, or another relevant area, or equivalent education combined with experience.
• You must have at least 8 years of experience in qualified scheduling within infrastructure, industry, or energy.
• You must have at least 4 years of experience in complex projects where scheduling has been your main area of responsibility.
• You must have experience with scheduling tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
• You must have experience in monitoring, forecasting, and reporting on time, cost, and progress.
• You must have experience in reviewing and checking schedules and planning documentation from designers, contractors, or equivalent external parties.
• You must be able to work on-site in Gothenburg 5 days per week.
• You must have a valid driver's license (Category B).
• You must have access to your own car – Let’s Gig provides contractually agreed mileage allowance.
• You must have excellent Swedish language skills, both written and spoken.

Workplace and Practical Information

The work is performed on-site at our client's premises in Gothenburg, requiring physical presence 5 days per week. Computer and workspace are provided. Travel to projects and fieldwork may occur, and work outside regular office hours may be necessary in special cases.

Upon starting the assignment, introductions and mandatory training in areas such as information security, safety, ethics, and confidentiality may take place. A confidentiality agreement may need to be signed.
