About the Department

The Municipal Executive Board Administration plays a central role in the municipality, working to provide professional support and service to elected officials as well as to the municipality's operations within both administrations and companies.

The Kitchen Unit is located within the Service Office in Sandviken Municipality. The Service Office is responsible for internal services to the municipality's various operations in the form of catering services, cleaning services, distribution center, and the municipality's car pool. The Service Office has a total of 130 employees and is organizationally under the Municipal Executive Board Administration.

The catering operations in Sandviken include the preparation, transport, and serving of meals in preschools, primary schools, and upper secondary schools, as well as care and nursing homes, and meal distribution to ordinary housing. We prepare approximately 8,000 portions per day, and the operations are divided into production units, production kitchens, and reception kitchens.

In your role as a cook, you ensure a good level of service and that the food maintains high quality. Sustainability is close to your heart, and you have an environmentally and climate-adapted way of working.

You work to ensure that available resources are used efficiently, both regarding food and economy.

As a cook, your main placement will be in Tunaköket. The duties include planning, cooking, working in the catering data system, customer contact, and engaged development work. The working climate in Tunaköket is characterized by ambitious employees with a high level of knowledge and good cooperation.

The position includes weekend shifts every fourth weekend.

Qualifications

• Trained cook with experience working with public meals.
• Experience from working in larger kitchens.
• Good knowledge of HACCP.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Good computer skills; knowledge of Excel, Mashie, and Teams is meritorious.
