Job Description
As a holiday substitute in home care services, you will become an important part of the daily life for elderly people in Torsås Municipality. You work closely with those you support and help them live a secure and independent life with influence over their daily lives.
Your tasks vary and may include personal care, such as dressing, hygiene, and meals, practical help with cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping, as well as social activities and community.
We work to reduce travel time and the municipality's fossil emissions. When visiting people who live close to the personnel office, within approximately 5 km, you cycle or walk using a regular bicycle or e-bike. We see daily exercise as a health factor.
As a holiday substitute, you get a significant role where you adapt interventions to the individual's needs in each individual meeting. Since the operations at special housing units run around the clock, the work includes scheduled shifts on weekdays, weekends, as well as evenings and nights. We would like those who apply to be able to work nights during the summer. After the summer, there are good opportunities to continue as an hourly substitute.
Please let us know in your application if you have a desired direction or a specific home care area.
Qualifications
We do not require previous experience, but to thrive in the role, you need to have a genuine interest in people and a desire to make a difference. You will receive a thorough introduction before you start. For us, your attitude and engagement are most important.
You have a genuine interest in people and perform your work in a respectful and professional manner. You collaborate well with colleagues and create good relationships in the meeting with the people you support.
It is meritorious if you have a current or completed education within the Care and Nursing Program, the Nursing Program, or other relevant care education. Experience in care work, pedagogy, or behavioral science is also meritorious. If you have worked for us before and have good references, we also see this as positive.
For all holiday substitutes, you need to:
- be at least 18 years old
- have good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing
A B-driver's license is a requirement for some positions. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
In connection with the interview, you need to be able to verify your identity through a valid ID document.
Please apply as soon as possible as we are working with ongoing selection and interviews.
